Charlton Pupils Excel in Junior Maths Challenge 2019
Five Pupils from Charlton Primary School in Wantage showcased their mathematical ability last week when they took part in the Junior Maths Challenge 2019 and came away with 2 Silver and 3 Bronze awards for their efforts.
Jennie Hughes (who achieved the highest in school) and Head boy Sam Bridle received the Silver award, while Finley Clark, Callum Nielsen and Isobel Boaz earned Bronze.
Over 270,000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a Gold certificate, the next 13% receiving Silver and the next 21% receiving the Bronze award.
This competition is aimed at 12-13 year olds already at secondary school, so given this fact, these Year 6 pupils achieved particularly highly.
A huge well done to all the pupils who took part.
