Vale Academy Trust Shared Library Wishlist
As a Trust, we recognise that reading is the master skill - of vital importance for well-being and connection with the world, not just for academic success. There are some amazing reading initiatives going on in all of our schools and staff are always on the lookout for new titles to recommend and share with their pupils.
Our newest initiative is the VAT Library - a shared resource of wonderful new books which any of our schools can borrow. To start with, we're focusing on diverse stories which broaden the perspectives of our young people and information texts which will make them go 'wow'! We are also creating a collection of books which sensitively tackle complex issues such as mental health.
We would LOVE any of the texts from this wishlist as a gift for our library!
At the moment, we are using Amazon as the host, but are in discussions with a nearby bookseller about creating a second list that will enable people to buy locally from an independent business. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Kate Wigley on kwigley@ka.vale-academy.org
