Dick Peters

Dick was appointed as a member 18/07/15

Dick spent some forty years working at a Research Council Institute specialising in research into diseases of farm animals. He eventually developed an interest, and gained a qualification, in health and safety. He relocated to Wantage from his native Cambridgeshire in 1991. After compulsory retirement at sixty years of age he worked part-time as Health and Safety Manager for a housing association for a further five years.

Dick is a past governor of Wantage Church of England Primary School and was chair for six years. He is also a past director of the Vale Academy Trust and currently one of the Members of the Trust. He is a Churchwarden at the Parish of Wantage and acts as treasurer of the Houghton Trust. Other interests include gardening, church bell ringing and watching grandchildren grow.
